A personal favorite of mine, this long-lived, desert/scrub-dwelliing, semi-docile species is absolutely beautiful! Reddish-orange from the patella down with bright red abdominal hairs, a buff-colored carapace with a nice black "triangle" marking on the eye section. Slightly smaller than B. smithi (to 5.5") and a little more skittish, it is available occasionally as captive born spiderlings. CITES II listed -beware! Do not buy imported adults! Range: Mexico.
