Extremely rare! These were last seen in the U.S. hobby back in the mid 1990s in limited numbers. Todd Gearheart brought in a handful of adults 12/13/07. Overall, they are dark being blackish-gray with orange leg striping, a swirling golden carapace and beautiful, metallic blue femurs!

Very rare! This beautiful species has blueish-black, hairy legs with pinkish-red abdominal hairs (adult females will lose the pinkish-red abdominal hairs and have black hairs). It is capable of a large legspan up to 8". It is a hardy, docile, long-lived species. If you like G. pulchra, you will love these!
