Grammostola sp."Red Concepcion" - CB spiderling
Tagged:  •    •    •

Very RARE! This species was first exported from Chile under the name Grammostola sp. "Red Concepcion" in 2006. Only a handful of adults arrived in the U.S. hobby during 2006-2007. It is expected that we will see more of these exported in 2008. It is a beautiful species found in southern Chile in the Concepcion III region. It looks similar to the G. rosea "Red Rose Hair" of central Chile, but the lower legs have lots of white hairs. It is a hardy, docile and long-lived species. It grows to a 6" legspan, but old adult females can be quite robust in overall girth. This species might prove to be the real G. cala.

You can breed them, but if the timing isn't right, the female will not lay a sac.
