Xenesthis genus study group
Tagged:  •    •

This is a study group of enthusiastic tarantula-keepers that have a strong interest in studying and breeding the genus Xenesthis. The genus is badly in need of revision, but this is taking forever. In the meantime, new species keep becoming available and hobbyists continue to have identification problems. Also, the genus is challenging to get successful captive-born from. This study group's efforts could improve our knowledge, understanding and successful care and breeding of this amazing genus of tarantulas.

Mission of this study group:

1) Publish their captive-keeping observations, photos, breeding notes and any taxonomy studies.
2) Share successful captive-care tips to beginner's about particular species in this genus.
3) Document commericial history on any new species and keep bloodline designation to keep species pure.
4) Publish breeding notes and share tips of what worked and what didn't in any breeding attempts.
5) Publish taxonomy illustrations and photos to help identify species in this genus.

Requirements for participation in this study group?

1) Be currently keeping at least one Xenesthis species.
2) Be active in contributing and participating in the group.
3) Be willing to have your name and email address displayed here for others to contact you.

Cost?

Nothing. Your time. :)

I'll have more information about this group in the next few weeks, but for now, just email me at webmaster@tarantulaspiders.com and put in the title of your email "Subscribe to Xenesthis Study Group". In the body of the email, write your full name, city and state (or country). Thanks.
