BEWARE of David Shur. This guy is not rational. A very loose cannon, he has threatened hobbyists and his language, threats and irrational way he conducts himself is well known in our hobby. He was banned from Arachnoboards due to his behavior. One of the mods there posted this 4/28/08: "DavidRS, regardless of how he may act towards his friends in real life, was utterly incapable of conducting himself in a way that comported with AB's rules of conduct. The PMs that were forwarded to us from the targets of his attacks were foul in a way that almost defies belief. He was asked to stop, refused, and he is no longer here. He will not be back. That is all that needs to be said." Also, he has been stealing pictures off other people's sites and using them for his website without permission let alone copyright info. Obviously, he has a complete LACK of any good ethics, morals, values, principles or RESPECT. He has been banned by AB and the ATS and he has been reprimanded by a major importer for his behavior and lies (concerning things he knows nothing about nor understands.) He tries to be smart aleck and funny with his posts, but instead they backfire and smack of negativity and anti-social behavior. Whatever group he belongs or wherever he posts, they end up reprimanding him, banning him or they have to constantly remind him to cease his over-the-top, negative, anti-social behavior.

Recently, he has created a libelous and defaming site with stolen pics and has even hid behind other people's names and created false email addresses (so far he has impersonatd Dave Love, Travis Kotke and Elliot Waldman) for his smear campaign, attacks and negative antics. He loves to play games on the computer of hiding behind fake email addresses and using other people's names. Any moderated site in the hobby has eventually suspended or banned him for his behavior. Why would anybody want to do business or a trade with this person with all this in mind??? Beware!

{P.S. For Mr. Shur, if you want this blog about you removed, you will need to cease and desist all of your libelous and defaming writings, postings and actions, take down the stolen pics, petition all the invert sites that you put your filth on to remove those postings and make a public apology on those sites to me, my business, my customers and the hobby. When that is done, your listing here will be removed, and then you might be able to have the opportunity to join our hobby and leave your bad behaviors behind you and start anew.} Many hobbyists and several website owners have reported that they are quite fed up with his negative postings and filth writings. As he continues this behavior with his posts/writings, people are getting a very, very bad impression of him. Everybody agrees, what positive thing does he bring to our hobby? Mr. Shur could ponder on this and change his ways, make a better name for himself and make some kind of positive contributions to our hobby. That is the higher road to take, but so far, he has not made that positive choice.

• Update 9/29/08: Mr. Shur will NOT make any positive steps to right the wrongs that he has done. Much needed behavior modification will have to take a legal path after all. Shame. Mr. Shur has a chance fix his messes. I'll only extend the opportunity until 9/30/08. {Mr. Shur says, "I had previously deleted anything pertaining to Todd on my website..." - Yes, you did, but your lies and smear campaign on AB remains and that is what started this in the first place. Get that removed and follow the recommendations in the above paragraph to make proper amends. Also, the lies you spread were never apologized for not counting the low, low, junk you did that is beneath anything people could imagine. That is why you are still listed on this page. Fix it and fix it fast if you want a your name back to repair the damage that you've done to yourself. Otherwise, tomorrow, we shall start the process to fix your crap the legal way. Do you have anything positive to contribute to our hobby? Anything? So far, your mouth, writings, attitude and actions have not made a great impression on hobbyists. "Crazy Dave" is not flattering at all. It's embarrassing and you are only making it worse. All the obsessive time that you have on your hands "could" be used to do something positive in our hobby, but you just can't stop yourself.

Would you like to enjoy our hobby without seeing David Shur's diarrhea of his mouth on the internet with his lies, libelous and defaming statements and negativity?

He is a dark soul that is very obessive spending hours and hour of the day trying to smear me. He offers nothing positive to our hobby what-so-ever. While he engages in this stupid, immature, sick and negative games, I've been busy providing hobbyists with quality invertebrates like I have for over 26 years. See the hundreds of positive reviews from a multitude of customers from all over this nation at www.arachnoboards.com/ab/showthread.php?t=25096&page=13&highlight=todd and on other sites. It speaks volumes. Anything not positive is usually associated with David Shur in some way.

David Shur has stolen many hobbyists pics from their sites. He plays games making false alias of different email accounts to play games with not only me, but other hobbyists as well. He has made deranged, irrational and threatening messages on several people's voice mails. His libelous and defaming statements and smear site is going to be taken care of in due time. Certain things are happening behind the scenes legally in which David Shur is hanging himself with his continued postings and content on his smear site.

Note that David has been banned from many sites and evidenced that he can't post his diarrhea anywhere else in the hobby except on one unmoderated site and his smear site. Think about that. It speaks volumes.

My business and contributions to this hobby have been happening too long, too strong for this nut to make any difference what-so-ever. Orders come in daily and David Shur is only hurting himself and our hobby with his diarrhea and lies. He is retired with much time on his hands and he can't put his time towards anything positive towards our hobby.

Reject his junk. See it for what it is.

"This is what is making me want to exit the T hobby. I PERSONALLY HAVE DONE BUSINESS WITH TODD AND ALL THE MONEY AND SPIDERS HAVE BEEN RIGHT ON. I have not done anything with David Shur, but I'm concerned that there is a connection between him and Dave Love who is a known thief and scammer. To boot you also hang with Paul who is less than honest as well. Many sites out there have pretty simply review boards where you can post positive or negative reviews. Constructing an entire website is going beyond what a professional person running a business should be doing. If I had to build a website for all the people that screwed me it would take up my entire life. Nothing Todd supposedly did to you could be as bad as someone stealing $25K in spiders from you!!!!! James"

After much thought, It saddens me to do this to a member but my patience has run out. Please keep in mind that I have done everything to resolve this matter before posting but you all need to know this so you do not have the misfortune of getting infected animals.
PLEASE DISREGARD ALL MY OTHER PREVIOUS POSITIVE REVIEWS.

This may come as shock to many of you(or maybe not) but I received 4 tarantuls and 1 scorpion infested with nematodes. The nematodes did not magically appear and they do take awhile to manifest themselves. Many of you have see how clean my set up is and would agree that I am extremely a neat freak.
They all were from tarantulas that I bought from Dave around the same time. None of my other collection was comprised. The first issue was from my P. cancerides male which never ate under my care. He had the nematodes when I bought him, I just didn’t know it. I showed a few SCABIES members at the BBQ at Joe’s house and no one had a clue. I sent the photos of my cancerides to a friend who immediately identified the issue as nematodes. Soon after, I lost 3 more tarantulas and 1 scorpion. Yes, scorpions can be infested with nematodes. I saw the nematodes come out of my King baboon and the scorpion. The other spiders just showed the symptoms of nematodes. I also want to note that I never had flies much less a phorid flies until I bought the P. cancerides from Dave. Due to my lack of knowledge at the time, I thought they were fruit flies and I was uneducated about nematodes. I immediately contacted Dave at the end of November apprising him of the situation. He responded stating that this could not have come at a worse time, admitted to the nematode situation, said he was suspending all sales and that he would recoup my cost or replace my spiders. However, He never once in his email apologized to me. I have sent numerous emails (all documented) with no response over the course of the past few months. I have contacted his daughter and she told me she would have her Dad get in contact with me. I have emailed Dave, sent text messages and called with no response. I am now going on 3 months since the nematode situation without a resolution. I also sent him a payment request from Paypal so that he could just pay me for my loss without having to make contact with me. I have since then replaced my spiders out of my own pocket due to his lack of response. I still have to replace one but that will cost me $25 for the spider and $25 for shipping. No one has a sling locally. I saw Dave at the Pomona show and he still did not apologize and he rambled on about how he had to clean out his garage and about his *loss.* What about my loss? Unfortunately, I did not get to discuss anything further with him because several people started showing up at his table. I was not about to make a scene.

I encourage you all to please read his Mission Statement on this site. With all this said, I am may have some people that may choose not talk to me which is fine. I am the one that suffered the loss of tarantulas that did not deserve to die NOT to mention the huge monetary loss (hundreds of dollars). I have done everything I could in my power to come in contact with Dave and I am being ignored. I have tried to keep this hidden and to protect Dave under the assumption he was going to make this right. I know he has been sick and I have been sympathetic to his situation. However, he has had plenty of time to make this right. He was well enough to attend the Pomona show so in my opinion he is well enough to take a moment to refund what I have lost. I will remove this post once Dave has done the right thing by refunding the amount of my replacement tarantulas and the replacement substrate. If I hear nothing from Dave this week, I will be seeking other avenues to recoup my losses."

I also received a T with nematodes about 2 months back from Dave i payed him and gotten nothing from him I have finally decided to do this after no response from Dave for over a month I inquired about purchasing a pair of L parahybana David had so he said ill sell them for 225.00 shipped and i agreed and i payed on Dec 4th and Dave never got back to me has yet to explain himself or issue a Refund or offer to send the T's i called Lauryn his daughter and all i get there is ill have him call you and nothing i feel he is just ignoring me at this point and i really feel he should let me know what's going on i understood he had some troubles and would have waited had he gave me some sort of response instead he ignores it and i feel ripped off here just thought i would share this i have never had a bad dealing with David i trusted him and he did this at this point i will never recommend him to anyone until he contacts me to make this right i also agree to disregard all my other positives for him. Never use Crazy Daves Inverts he will lie and rip you off "

I warned the hobby before about David Shur. The truth is now coming out as I predicated. Everything he has said and told people is garbage. Bad Karma always come back to those that do it.
