This is THE "holy grail" of MONSTER centipedes. It is considered to be the largest centipede on earth. It averages 10", but authentic reports of 12"-13" lengths have been documented and there are some reports of the species reaching 16" in select populations.

Many pede hobbyists have concluded that there are four color morphs:

"
Black form" -  This pede was imported from 1995 to 1996 from Trinidad and not seen since. It has also been confirmed on Isle of Margarita, Curacao, NW Venezuela  and a report from central Guyana.

"Orange-legged morph" - imported from Peru in the late 1990s and sold in error as "Scolopendra gigantea robusta". A small shipment of juveniles were imported from Germany in 2004.

"White-legged morph" - imported from Peru in the late 1990s. A small shipment of juveniles were imported from Germany in 2004.

"Yellow-legged morph" - Known from Venezuela, Aruba and Colombia. Possibly imported in the early 1990s, but that is not 100% known.

• A very limited number of the "white-legged morph" and "black form" will be made available. Get your reservation asap as there is much demand for these centipedes. Expected sizes to be made available: sub-adults/young adults 4"-7.75". Fill out the order for by clicking here.
